Yvette Cruz has been singing and performing since she was 9 years old. Yvette’s dream had always been to become a singer/entertainer. She grew up in Silver City, NM where at the age of 13 she began opening up for Tejano artist like Elida Y Avante, Ruben Ramos, Stefani Montiel, La Differenzia, Patsy Torres and Pete Austudillo among others. Yvette performed in Shelly's All American Showcase in Las Vegas,NV in 2014 and has performed several times at the Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair.
Yvette recorded her first demo song “Angel Baby” at 15 years old when she asked to record a demo instead of having a quinceniera which later turned into a full length album entitled “Lagrimas y Lluvia” at Melody Ranch Studios in San Antonio, TX.
Yvette went on to record several rancheras including the classic “Me Piden” and “A La Que Vive Contigo” in 2003. Both songs received substantial airplay in New Mexico and several internet radio stations. She continued to have a passion for music but decided to slow down on music and focus on finishing her Associates degree in Business Administration. Yvette’s passion for music remained burning inside her. After stepping away from making music for a number of years she decided it was time to begin playing music and recording again. This past August Yvette was invited to be a part of the National Tejano Convention artists showcase in Las Vegas, NV where she was able to showcase her music to a broad range of Tejano music fans. Yvette is currently working on upcoming album and hopes to complete it this year.
